Faculty - Nursing (10 Month Appointment)

About the role

Hazard Community & Technical College is seeking applicants for a Nursing Instructor - two available positions. This position will teach college level credit courses in the Practical Nursing Diploma and Associate Degree Nursing programs. The role is a full-time, 10‑month appointment with an on‑site work location, 37.5 standard hours per week, and exempt FLSA status. The college is located in Hazard, Kentucky, within the Academic Services department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction, instructional activities, and prepare learning materials for courses each semester in accordance with approved curriculum.
• Use of technology and learning management systems to support instruction.
• Complete instructional support processes such as syllabi development, course assessments, early interventions, and class organization.
• Participate in professional development and college/department meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with at least three years of experience working as a Nurse.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Some teaching experience desired.

Schedule

Standard hours: 37.5 hours per week; 10‑month contract term.
