Faculty Advancement and Student Success Lecturer Pool 2026-2027
San Diego State University’s Office of Faculty Advancement and Student Success invites applications for its lecturer pool. Appointments may be full- or part-time and are often made on short notice just prior to the start of the fiscal year.

- Interdisciplinary studies
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate degree in an academic field
- University teaching experience
- Demonstrated currency in subject matter
Preferred:
- Demonstrated experience or expertise in teaching, research, or service connected to underrepresented communities in higher education
Pay
Initial rank and salary are based on professional experience and educational background. As of July 2024, the classification salary ranges are:
- Lecturer A: $6,228 – $7,658
- Lecturer B: $7,127 – $15,211
- Lecturer C: $7,830 – $16,697
Most new appointees are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank and placed at the beginning of the range.
Applicants must disclose any final administrative or judicial decision issued within the last seven years determining that they committed sexual harassment. Finalists will be required to authorize a background check, including a criminal records check, as a condition of employment.
