Facility Procurement Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a Facility Procurement Manager to lead procurement functions for Caterpillar Defense. This role will support U.S. and UK based Cat Defense products and teams and interacts closely with members of the broader Procurement organization within Power & Energy Procurement. Our work is geared towards Predictable Supply Excellence, Optimized Total Cost of Ownership, Supplier Relationship Management, and Lifecycle Sourcing Strategy. With a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency, Power & Energy Procurement leverages advanced tools and processes to connect the physical and digital supply chain, enabling business units to deliver high-performance solutions that meet evolving customer and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of delivering a lean, responsive, and resilient material and services flow for the facility from source to dock and additional required points.
- Manage a global team responsible for operating and monitoring the supply network procurement functions to meet defined response time, cost, quality, and lean targets, enabling optimal and efficient facility operations.
- Ensure the supplier network is capable of meeting the business unit’s specific Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, Management (QCLDM) requirements.
- Collaborate with business partners and suppliers and resolve facility-specific supplier issues.

- Purchasing Tasks and Activities: Knowledge of policies, regulations, and processes of purchasing; ability to use practices and procedures for procurement.
- Extensive experience working with the implementation of complex purchasing programs and tasks.
- Advises on appropriate solutions to complex purchasing activity problems.
- Monitors the effectiveness of procurement policies and strategies in high-cost purchases.
- Improves procurement processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Teaches others how to use advanced technologies and tools for purchasing activities.
- Evaluates issues and considerations for purchasing various goods and services.
Must be a U.S. citizen. This job is subject to Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI), which prohibits the release of technology and technical data to non-U.S. citizens. Relocation and visa sponsorship are not available for this position. This position requires working onsite five days a week.
Pay
Summary pay range: $147,760.00 - $221,640.00. Compensation and benefits may vary depending on job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
