Facility Operations Coordinator - New Century FS - Yankton, SD

About the role

The Facility Operations Coordinator assists the Facility Operation Manager with planning, organizing, and directing the operation and personnel. The role also involves providing customer service, operating and maintaining facility equipment and machinery, coordinating work activities, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting company goals.

Responsibilities

• Reviews customer blending and delivery tickets for accuracy and schedules product batching sequences
• Operates facility loading and unloading equipment, mixing equipment, and other machinery
• Captures and coordinates work activities of location employees
• Performs equipment and machinery preventative maintenance, trouble-shooting, maintenance, and cleaning tasks
• Trains / serves as a back-up to the Facility Operation Manager
• Trains new Custom Applicators and serves as back-up custom applicator as needed
• Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 1 or more years of related work experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of fertilizer facility and equipment operations
• Valid CDL driver’s license with applicable endorsements, satisfactory driving record, and ability to work extended hours during peak production times
• Valid Commercial Applicator’s core license with applicable weed, insect, and disease certifications
• Frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions, noisy conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards
• Lifting up to 70 lbs frequently
• Ability to participate in required training on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures

Qualifications
