About the role

This role focuses on supporting the workplace and facility systems across various facilities worldwide. You will work with an industry-leading team that designs, builds, and maintains facilities and building assets for diverse operating functions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain open communication between tenants and Sustainable Workplaces
  • Drive strategic and analytical planning to optimize building and facility services
  • Ensure Service Providers deliver efficient and timely execution of facility services
  • Support workspace transformation projects by engaging with Space Planning team
  • Support issue resolution for tenant needs and long-term projects
  • Ensure compliance with GM Global Safety standards
  • Write and submit PR's for Move Service Center budget
  • Maintain budget, forecasts, and accruals for all billing
  • Develop and execute move process checklists and customer orientations
  • Conduct monthly reviews with JLL regarding process and services
  • Lead and drive action and accountability in space planning strategy meetings
  • Support space planning software ideation
  • Support all interiors/workplace transformation team initiatives with space data and feasibility studies
  • Engage and work with Furniture Coordination, Facility leads, GMIT & MSC when needed in a project move
  • Analyze current and forecast headcount, adjacencies, and business needs to translate them into space programs and test fits
  • Participate in/lead space strategy meetings to align leaders on how portfolios are used and optimized
  • Engage early with requesters to clarify requirements, then develop space proposals and options
  • Maintain and adjust seating plans as organizations change, ensuring allocations stay aligned with org charts and functional plans
  • Partner with facilities, interiors, and estimating/project management to hand off approved layouts into delivery
  • Support adherence to workplace, design, and furniture standards as part of broader facility engineering and architecture governance
  • Navigate high levels of organizational churn, balancing competing demands and "unpopular" space decisions through influence, relationships, and political savvy
  • Coordinate with change management/comms where moves or re-stacking significantly impact employees

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in facilities management, preferably in a corporate setting
  • Experience with space planning and optimization tools
  • Strong understanding of global manufacturing system principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
