What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor HVAC, water treatment, compressed air, electrical, chemical, and other process delivery systems
- Start, stop, and operate equipment using control software, troubleshooting deviations from normal parameters and utilizing control systems to monitor equipment and verify trends
- Provide support for new equipment installation, startup, and routine operator rounds, collaborating with teammates and engineers
- Support the commissioning of new equipment and systems, assist in drafting initial operating procedures and pre-task plans
- Work from schematics, plans, and instructions, implementing standard practices and adhering to 5S practices
- Champion safety policies during tasks, aiming to improve equipment reliability and system performance
What You'll Bring
- Must understand basic mechanical and electrical systems; experience in chemical handling and electrical distribution is desired
- Demonstrate reliability, initiative, and adaptability in work schedule and high-paced environments; open to flexible schedules, including days, nights, or weekends, with safety-conscious work practices and adherence to prescribed guidelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and adapt to constant change
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience writing Standard Operating Procedures, Pre-Task Plans, Work Requests, and drafting training material
- Able to sit, stand, and/or walk for 10+ hours, lift up to 20 lbs. multiple times per day, climb ladders, use scissor and boom lifts, work in confined spaces and loud environments
- Potential exposure to hazardous materials; ability to wear PPE, including a full-face air-purifying respirator as needed for specific tasks
- Experience with Lock Out Tag Out
