Facilities Maintenance Tech (Weekend)

About the role

The selected individual will work as a maintenance technician on the weekend shift at Sutter Street in Booneville. This maintenance technician will be responsible for safely completing overall scheduled preventative maintenance and timely repairs to equipment and facilities as needed, assisting and enhancing the stated objectives of the overall operation.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work practices and demonstrate safe work habits to the workforce; adhere to Personal Protective Equipment standards throughout the facility.
• Adhere to Williams-Sonoma policies while performing duties with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others in the department, facility, and organization.
• Monitor, maintain, and perform minor repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
• Accurately track and store the department's inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Support continuous improvement within all departments.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including people movers and forklifts; obtain and pass WSI certification.
• Assess and resolve a wide array of maintenance issues on-site, including:
  • Sewing machine repair and maintenance
  • Cutter repair and maintenance
  • Conveyor repair
  • Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting
  • Lighting (interior and exterior)
  • Maintain all rack and guard railing
  • Plumbing
  • Welding
  • Carpentry
  • Pneumatic systems
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks using tools and equipment.
• Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and implement work orders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and email).
• Safety-minded in all work performed.
• Ability to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and understand resources to accomplish tasks.
• Capable of gathering needed materials to complete repairs/work orders.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 5 years of maintenance experience at a furniture manufacturing facility.
• Sewing machine maintenance experience.
• Degree in electrical or industrial maintenance field.
• Welding certification.

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
• Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual tasks (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation).
• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.

Friday - Sunday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
