About the role
The Facilities Engineer provides mechanical engineering support for HVAC or other industrial equipment, manages facilities projects, develops and analyzes performance metrics, and administers and updates building layouts.
Responsibilities
- Administers, maintains, and supports HVAC or industrial equipment
- Maintains building management and environmental treatment systems
- Manages projects of various scope, ensuring they are completed within timelines and budgets
- Develops and analyzes performance metrics, including energy and water consumption
- Manages programs to reduce energy consumption and emissions
- Prepares and updates building layouts and equipment layouts
- Administers and updates equipment Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI’s)
- Provides technical assistance and trouble-shooting guidance
- Responds to employee requests regarding facilities-related issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
- Two years of experience in building management, construction, or facilities in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with environmental, electrical, or industrial controls systems
- Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk, BACnet, Automated Logic Control (ALC), and KMC Controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

- Knowledge and ability to provide engineering support for HVAC or industrial systems
- Knowledge and ability to use Autodesk or AutoCAD for building layouts and designs
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, automation, and environmental controls
- Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications for spreadsheets, documents, and presentations
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Able to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
- Able to comply with safety policies and procedures
- Able to analyze data, create reports, and present findings or recommendations
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated project or process management skills

Benefits
The annual base salary for this full-time position is between $120,819.00 - $177,675.00 + bonus target + benefits. The exact pay may vary based on additional factors including job responsibilities, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience.

Schedule
The Facilities Engineer works primarily in an office environment from Monday through Friday. Schedules may be altered to meet business or operational needs; occasional travel between buildings may be required. Exposure to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, and gases may occur; exposure to loud noise may also be present. May work in close proximity to moving mechanical parts. Stands, walks, bends, twists, and crawls. Performs various fine grasping movements; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment. May occasionally push, pull, or lift up to 30 pounds.
