About the role
The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for site facilities engineering in a major manufacturing plant, including management of capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects through the full project lifecycle, business justification, and project management. This role drives maintenance excellence while providing strong leadership and ensuring a safe, reliable, and effective facility.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Facilities Manager to propose, estimate, and execute CAPEX projects from concept through completion.
- Lead next-generation factory initiatives by evaluating new technologies, developing business cases, and implementing solutions.
- Manage and develop site equipment and facilities to meet processing capabilities and customer requirements.
- Provide technical support to Maintenance and Operations teams, including equipment troubleshooting and component replacement recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations and drive site safety improvements.
- Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment.
- Develop and execute plans to mitigate equipment and facility obsolescence.
- Support maintenance excellence at the Burlington site through disciplined practices focused on: Equipment and reliability and availability, CMMS advancement and utilization, spare parts optimization and cost control, workforce capability, training, and development, and preventive and predictive maintenance maturity.
- Lead Management of Change (MOC) reviews of facility-related projects and modifications.
- Develop future site layouts, expansions, and equipment plans aligned with business growth, forecasts, and the Strategic Planning (STRAP) process.
- Maintain and update Facilities and Maintenance documentation.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with coursework in engineering.
- Minimum of three years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, facilities engineering preferred.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Computer literate. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and in the use of AutoCAD or equivalent software.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) software and multi-axis machining centers a plus.
- Demonstrated project management skills relative to major facility projects in a manufacturing environment.

Pay
Summary pay range: $85,353 – $146,320 annual salary.
