Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of metal fabrication operations, set-up and operate a wide variety of machines and equipment, and troubleshoot problems when necessary.
- Assigns work to individual employees, follow up to insure completion of assigned tasks: re-assign personnel as workload varies with changing conditions.
- Instruct and train employees in job procedures, sequence of operations and other phases of work.
- Perform various related duties to assist supervisor in maintaining the flow of work.
- Check various operations and assist as necessary in the solution of difficulties, including the performance of production work, scheduling assistance and programming adjustments.
- See that all necessary materials are on hand and equipment is in order. This may include scheduling, preparing and moving of material, rework, etc.
- Ensure that work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, orderly, and safe condition. Follow prescribed safety regulations. May be required to move stock and material.
- Evaluate defective material, faulty operations, questionable conditions and potential work stoppages; advise and recommend alternatives to appropriate person.
- (May require the use of computer and telecommunication device.) Confer with supervisor as to various quality requirements.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or (GED) General Education Degree.
- Must pass Flex-Force Test and Machine Set-Up Test.
- Must have current, valid driver’s license and pass tow motor physical.

Pay
The pay rate is $25.09 per hour, plus shift differential for off shifts. The pay rate is based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.

Shifts may vary depending on the department and location.
