Fabrication Supervisor - 2nd Shift

If you are an experienced manufacturing leader looking for an opportunity to lead a skilled fabrication team and drive safety, quality, and operational performance, we have an exciting opportunity for you in Aiken, South Carolina. You will lead the day-to-day operations of the fabrication area, overseeing people, processes, equipment, and materials to ensure production goals are achieved safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Kan-Ban system and MRP requirements to meet department service level goals
  • Oversee barstock inventory to include daily transactions and regular cycle counts
  • Conduct monthly department meetings and any regulatory training as required
  • Manage employee performance to maintain department standards in efficiency, productivity, and accountability
  • Provide recognition and constructive feedback through both formal and informal discussions
  • Maintain accurate inventory of production tools, fixtures, and process-related supplies
  • Provide training and assistance to all assigned personnel
  • Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition; report all safety concerns immediately
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by manager

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Industrial Technology or related field and three (3) years' experience in a manufacturing environment or a High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years' experience in a fabrication manufacturing environment
  • Organizational skills and ability to work with all departments within the plant
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations regarding employee performance and conduct
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
  • Take initiative and make quality decisions based on known policies and procedures with minimal supervision
  • Experience with internal and/or external audits from regulatory agencies
  • Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
  • Act as a leader with utmost integrity, professionalism, and a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology
  • Supervisory experience
  • Lean manufacturing experience
