Responsibilities
- Work in all venues including Biloxi Bay Buffet, Pho-Boy, and BT Grill.
- Operate cash register, accounting for all monies, coupons, comps, and receipts at the end of shift.
- Stay current on all coupons, promotions, and certificates applicable to Food and Beverage outlets.
- Expedite food purchases for guests according to service standards, including online orders and third-party pickups.
- Use the front-line checklist to restock inventory as needed.
- Serve as an ambassador for all Food and Beverage outlets.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the dining area.
- Perform assigned cleaning and general maintenance tasks.
- Report issues and guest complaints to leadership.
- Support, promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in line with department and company standards.
- Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements within your area of responsibility and report potential issues to management.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School diploma or equivalent; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior food handling, cashier, and/or attendant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of proper food holding temperatures, temperature danger zones, and proper use of cleaning chemicals preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays as scheduled.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Proper phone etiquette.
- Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems diplomatically and tactfully.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
