About the role

The Extrusion Operator is responsible for the fabrication and production of component parts for the final assembly of windows. This position is an entry-level role where team members perform one or more repetitive jobs on an assembly line, assembling building material components under direct supervision.

Processes include insertion or positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting parts, and use of both hand and power tools. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive environment, which includes heavy lifting or detailed handwork.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble window material components repetitively on an assembly line.
  • Insert or position materials, clamp, splice, and fit parts.
  • Use hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble components.
  • Understand and observe all safety procedures to prevent injury to self or co-workers.
  • Stand or walk on a concrete floor surface for up to a twelve-hour shift.
  • Cross-train in multiple functions within and between department lines.

Requirements

  • Lifting requirements: 20 lbs. frequently and 40 lbs. occasionally for light production; 40 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally for heavy production.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Pay

$16/hr
