About the role
Kick-start your career in audiology with hands-on experience and unparalleled mentorship. From day one, gain practical experience in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
- Virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement and collaboration to enhance clinical skills and insights into office operations.
- Participate in monthly manufacturer-led workshops or meet one-on-one with trainers for individualized learning.
- Utilize top-of-the-line hearing technology from leading manufacturers to tailor solutions for patients, including computer-based audiometers, real ear verification, and test box measures.
- Join a community-driven organization dedicated to giving back through volunteer initiatives and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Learn and ask questions to your preceptor.
- Handle appointment documentation.
- Assist with lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments.
- Order and service hearing aids.
- Take earmold impressions.
- Conduct follow-up calls with patients.
- Participate in clinic and company meetings.
- Perform any task beneficial to your clinic.
Requirements
- Must actively be in an AuD program.
