About the role
Gain hands-on experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing. You’ll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement and collaboration to enhance clinical skills and insights into office operations.
Thrive in an environment of continuous learning and development through monthly manufacturer-led workshops or one-on-one training sessions. Many externs transition to full-time roles as HearingLife prioritizes internal promotion.
Utilize top-of-the-line hearing technology from leading manufacturers to tailor solutions for patients, including computer-based audiometers, real ear verification, and test box measures to uphold audiologic best practices.
Responsibilities
- Learn and ask questions to your preceptor
- Appointment documentation
- Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments
- Ordering and servicing hearing aids
- Earmold impressions
- Conduct follow-up calls with patients
- Participate in clinic and company meetings
- Perform any task beneficial to your clinic
Requirements
- Must actively be in an AuD program
