About the role

This externship is designed for Audiology Doctoral Students seeking practical, real-world experience in a supportive and innovative environment. You’ll work alongside experienced audiologists, engage with patients, and utilize cutting-edge hearing technology to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on learning from day one, including comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education.
• Participate in pediatric and vestibular testing where available.
• Connect virtually with externs nationwide to build a supportive network and enhance clinical skills.
• Engage in monthly manufacturer-led workshops and one-on-one training sessions for continuous growth.
• Contribute to community-driven initiatives and volunteer opportunities.
• Utilize top-of-the-line hearing technology, including computer-based audiometers, real ear verification, and test box measures.
• Perform daily tasks such as appointment documentation, hearing aid selection/fitting/follow-up, earmold impressions, and patient follow-up calls.
• Participate in clinic and company meetings, and take on any tasks that support your learning and clinic operations.

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled in an AuD (Doctor of Audiology) program.
