Responsibilities

• Gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education.
• Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
• Virtually connect with externs nationwide to build a supportive network for structured encouragement, enhancing clinical skills and insights into office operations.
• Participate in monthly manufacturer-led workshops or meet one-on-one with trainers for individualized learning.
• Engage in community-driven volunteer initiatives and community engagement.
• Utilize top-of-the-line hearing technology from leading manufacturers to tailor solutions for patients, including computer-based audiometers, real ear verification, and test box measures.
• Daily tasks include:
  • Learning and asking questions to your preceptor.
  • Appointment documentation.
  • Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments.
  • Ordering and servicing hearing aids.
  • Taking earmold impressions.
  • Conducting follow-up calls with patients.
  • Participating in clinic and company meetings.
  • Any task beneficial to your clinic.

Requirements

• Must actively be in an AuD program.
