About the role

Join our growing team at our newest, state-of-the-art Mazda facility. We're looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician with a valid Pennsylvania Inspection License.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy
  • Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and complete necessary repairs
  • Examine vehicles to identify additional safety, maintenance, or service needs
  • Communicate additional repair needs to the Service Advisor promptly
  • Work closely with the Parts Department to obtain necessary parts
  • Properly document all work performed
  • Road test vehicles when required
  • Perform Pennsylvania state safety and emissions inspections as licensed
  • Assist with and oversee the work of apprentice technicians when assigned
  • Attend factory-sponsored training and stay current on technical bulletins and repair procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Maintain dealership-owned tools and equipment responsibly

Requirements

  • Previous professional automotive service technician experience required
  • Valid Pennsylvania State Inspection License required
  • Pennsylvania Emissions License preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and general mechanical skills
  • ASE certifications preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to read and understand technical instructions and repair information
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Good judgment, reliability, and a strong work ethic

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of automotive repair and diagnostics
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
