About the role

The Jack Giambalvo Family of Dealerships is seeking a motivated Service Technician to join their team at Jack Giambalvo Mazda in York. This position offers the chance to work with a respected dealership and a brand known for innovation and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs with efficiency, accuracy, and a commitment to quality and safety
  • Receive repair orders and perform work as outlined in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose vehicle issues and perform necessary repairs and maintenance
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain required parts
  • Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs and communicate findings to the service advisor
  • Document all work performed clearly and accurately
  • Road-test vehicles as needed to ensure quality of repairs
  • Maintain knowledge of Mazda systems, technology, and factory technical bulletins
  • Attend manufacturer training and continue developing technical skills
  • Supervise and support apprentice technicians as assigned
  • Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and handled with care
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials

Requirements

  • Previous automotive service technician experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • ASE certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to read and interpret repair instructions and technical information
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Solid work ethic and team-oriented mindset
  • Manual dexterity and good judgment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Qualifications

Skills

  • ASE certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
