Experienced Production Operations Specialist (Electro-Mechanical) Second Shift – Millennium Space Systems

About the role

This position is 100% onsite in El Segundo, California, and requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship is required). An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance post-start is required. This role is for the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains manufacturing processes and methods that comply with company policies and procedures, improve production efficiency, and optimize product quality.
• Monitors, assesses, and provides status on production progress, actions, issue resolution, and support needs.
• Investigates product defects and production inefficiencies and develops solutions to reduce or mitigate them.
• Conducts staffing and cost analyses.
• Coordinates and prepares justification for major capital expenditures and equipment implementation.
• Represents manufacturing on production-related issues.
• Establishes and maintains production schedules.

Requirements

• More than 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• More than 1 year of experience operating specialized equipment such as electrodynamic shakers (vibration table), thermal vacuum chambers, and/or thermal cycling chambers.
• More than 1 year of experience leading teams.
• Experience in the aerospace industry.
• U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• More than 1 year of experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience aggregating, visualizing, and analyzing data to make informed decisions (e.g., SQL, Excel, PowerBI).

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination (e.g., Master + 4 years, 10 years of related experience).

Pay

Pay is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations. Summary pay range: $96,900 – $131,100.

Schedule

• 2nd shift.
• Position may require travel up to 5% of the time.
