About the role

Mr. Handyman of Northern Virginia is looking for an experienced Home Repair Craftsman who enjoys working with his hands and wants to stay in the field. You won't have to spend your day finding the next customer, chasing work, writing estimates, or sitting behind a desk. We keep you busy. You do what you do best.

What You'll Work On

Every day is a little different. You might spend the morning repairing trim and drywall, then move on to a door repair, deck project, or a small remodeling job.

• Carpentry and finish work
• Drywall repair and painting
• Doors and windows
• Flooring and tile
• Light plumbing
• Light electrical
• Deck and fence repairs
• Small remodeling projects
• Punch-list and general home repairs

You don't have to be an expert at every trade. But you should be the kind of person who can look at something you've never seen before and figure out how to fix it.

Who We're Looking For

We're interested in people with 10+ years of real-world experience in construction, remodeling, handyman work, maintenance, or the skilled trades. More experience is great.

Requirements

• Work independently without someone looking over your shoulder
• Handle carpentry and general home repairs confidently
• Troubleshoot problems and figure things out
• Take pride in clean, quality workmanship
• Communicate well with homeowners
• Show up when you say you will
• Work safely and professionally
• Have a valid driver's license
• Have your everyday hand tools

• $25–$45+ per hour based on experience and skill level
