Experienced Field Technician - Work on Safety Systems That Protect Lives
About the role
This is a hands-on, field-based role with real responsibility, independence, and the support of a strong, team-first environment. It offers specialized, high-value skillset in gas detection and safety systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibration, maintenance, and service of fixed gas detection systems
- Work with system components including alarms, relays, control panels, fans, valves, solenoids, and actuators
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues using manufacturer manuals and technical documentation
- Travel to customer sites to complete service work safely and efficiently
- Manage your own schedule and complete jobs independently
- Provide professional, high-quality customer interaction on-site and over the phone
- Support installations and advanced service work alongside other experienced technicians
- Mentor and support junior technicians in the field
Requirements

- 3+ years of hands-on technical experience - field service, HVAC, electrical, controls, mechanical, or similar
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Professional communication and customer-facing skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional education (technical school or college coursework) preferred
- Electrical or electronic coursework from a recognized institution is a plus

Pay
$60,000 - $80,000 (salary based on experience)
Schedule
Monday - Friday, typically 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (hours may vary based on jobs)
Average 45-50 hours per week depending on workload
Participation in an on-call rotation for emergency service support
