Experienced Dementia Unit Manager (RN/LPN) Locked Memory Care Unit

About the role

We are seeking an experienced RN/LPN to lead our secure Memory Care/Dementia Unit at Morris View Healthcare Center. This role is ideal for a compassionate, clinically strong nurse leader with extensive experience managing residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and conduct clinical rounds
• Manage admissions, care plans, and quality measures
• Oversee behavior management, fall prevention, and psychotropic medication monitoring
• Maintain regulatory compliance specific to dementia care
• Facilitate family communication

Requirements

• Current RN or LPN license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Unit Manager or Nurse Manager in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience caring for residents with dementia and behavioral health needs in a secured memory care environment
• Strong knowledge of dementia-specific interventions
