About the role
Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP is seeking a transactional attorney with six to eight years’ experience in affordable housing policy matters and affordable housing development and financing transactions.
Responsibilities
- Negotiating and drafting loan documents, ground leases, regulatory agreements, easements, and related documents for multifamily developments.
- Experience with first time homebuyer programs, construction documents, and commercial leases is a plus.
Requirements
- Experienced in affordable housing policy matters and development and financing transactions.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in California.
- Minimum of six to eight years of relevant legal experience.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this full-time role is $190,000 – $225,000 plus annual performance-based bonuses. The actual salary within that range will depend on the selected candidate’s years of practice and experience.
