Expanded Function Dental Assistant - Full Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining patient records, updating medical history and vital signs
  • Performing complete X-ray procedures and managing dental imaging
  • Aiding with periodontal care, sterilizing instruments, and infection control
  • Preparing instruments and materials for examinations and treatments
  • Providing oral hygiene education and patient counseling
  • Supporting orthodontic procedures, including record collection and appliance placement
  • Performing preventative care such as polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealants
  • Supporting the implementation of infection control protocols and maintaining a sterile environment
  • Performing other duties as assigned to ensure quality patient care

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • OR EFDA certification within 90 days of employment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish/Cantonese/Vietnamese) preferred
  • Strong manual dexterity, professionalism, and basic computer skills in dental records and office software
