About the role
Join our team as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support high-quality, equitable dental care within a community health organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced clinical duties such as taking X-rays, assisting with procedures, periodontal care, and patient education
- Ensure infection control and sterilization protocols are followed
- Maintain patient records and update medical history
- Conduct X-rays and intraoral photographs
- Conduct periodontal charting and assist with exams
- Prepare instruments and materials for procedures
- Provide preventative and educational oral hygiene care
- Support infection control and sterilization protocols
- Assist with orthodontic procedures as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Oregon EFDA certification within 90 days
- BLS certification within 90 days
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) at a high proficiency level
Qualifications
- Strong manual dexterity
- Professional communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control
