Expanded Function Dental Assistant - Full Time

About the role

Join our team as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support high-quality, equitable dental care in a community health setting. As an EFDA, you will perform advanced clinical duties such as X-ray procedures, periodontal charting, preparing instruments, and providing preventive care like fluoride treatments and sealants. You will assist providers chairside, support infection control protocols, and help with orthodontic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient records and update medical histories
• Perform radiographs and intraoral photography
• Assist in periodontal and orthodontic procedures
• Ensure infection control and sterilization standards
• Educate patients on oral hygiene

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Oregon EFDA certification within 90 days
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) at a high level
• Basic knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and computer skills
• Strong manual dexterity and professionalism
• Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of hire
