Executive Underwriter - Assistant Vice President

Mckee Risk Management, a RPS company, has been providing specialized underwriting, claims, and risk control services to select groups of insureds through its established agents since 1999. How You'll Make An Impact

• Lead the underwriting, management, and use of McKee's exclusive program markets, as well as work with alternative markets to meet customer needs.
• Review and manage new and renewal transactions within your authority, ensuring rate, retention, and service decisions support the book and team goals.
• Analyze coverage and limit requests, setting terms you are prepared to offer, and support file quality, compliance, reporting, and underwriting audits.
• Coach and support junior colleagues, share practical technical guidance, and build and manage strong agency, broker, and producer relationships through regular market visits, business development activities, and strategic agency planning to drive profitable growth, strengthen retention, and uncover new business opportunities.

About You

• A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience.
• A current license, or the ability to meet the licensing requirement.
• Experience making underwriting, pricing, retention, and service decisions within guidelines.
• The ability to explain risk decisions clearly to agents, brokers, and colleagues.
• Experience supporting or coaching others and reviewing work for accuracy.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Comfort with frequent travel to visit agents and brokers throughout the Northeast and occasional visits to McKee office in PA.
