About the role

The Assistant Account Executive (AAE) is a transitional role designed to bridge the gap between Sales Coordinator and Associate Account Executive. The AAE provides analytical, logistical, and planning support to the broader Account Management team, while taking ownership of small accounts or Ecom-only accounts and contributing to seasonal planning. This is a developmental role for professionals on the path toward full account ownership, involving 20% guided travel, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide account support and shadowing for assigned accounts, responsible for sell-in and sell-through aspects of the business, with guidance from Senior Account Executive (Sr. AE).
  • Analyze retail sales:
    • Assist in analysis and reporting of topline sales (this year/last year) weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
    • Support review of SKU assortment sales and door sales weekly and monthly; identify assortment update opportunities, reorders, newness buys, and markdowns across accounts.
    • Manage orders and markdowns monthly, quarterly, and seasonally based on account sales trends, with direction from Sr. AE.
  • Build seasonal assortments by account by brand:
    • Assist Sr. AE with preparation of quarterly and seasonal growth strategies to drive corporate, brand, and customer objectives presented at market meetings.
    • Communicate product opportunities to Brand teams through sales and trends on styling and price.
    • Assist with new product launches quarterly by brand based on storytelling strategies and trends.
    • Assist in inputting forecast data with leadership direction.
  • Manage order maintenance:
    • Collaborate with warehouse teams to allocate, fulfill, and ship goods on time.
    • Track allocations and release orders to ship, secure extensions, and monitor price/order holds.
  • Manage marketing initiatives by account:
    • Coordinate with Sr. AE for budget and execution of coop, fixtures, and visual merchandising guidelines by account.
    • Assist with entering coop/markdowns/spend in SAP system with proof of performance.
    • Track advertised SKUs to ensure store delivery and drop-ship feed is live.
    • Assist with tracking accounts' eCommerce teams updating sites to new campaign assets.
    • Support Sr. AE in working with Brand and Coordinator teams to request, distribute, and track POS for accounts.
  • Participate in biweekly meetings with the Merchant team regarding Winston service updates.
  • Assist in managing the schedule of account visits, communication, and impact on accounts.
  • Assist in updates and maintenance of space and location tracker by account.
  • Interact and collaborate with customer service, distribution, and other sales support areas within the organization.
  • Stay informed on assigned brand products and services as well as industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of professional experience in wholesale, sales coordination, or merchandising.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, filtering, sorting); SAP exposure preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High learning agility and ability to take initiative.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 per year. Base salary is determined by individualized factors such as experience and market location.
