About the Role

As a Sr. Executive Partner – Global CIO Advisory at Gartner, you will be an indispensable advisor for Information Technology and digital leaders. Executive Technology Services (ETS) serves over 7,000 CIOs/CxOs and senior IT leaders across 87 countries, with a membership-based program that has seen double-digit growth year-over-year. Members benefit from Gartner’s objectivity, a vast community of CIOs, and tailored insights focused on CIO-level challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of 25+ members, including digital/technology leaders from organizations with revenue exceeding $15B.
  • Deeply understand members’ priorities and challenges, helping them execute strategies using Gartner’s capabilities and industry trends.
  • Challenge members with innovative ideas and provide fresh perspectives on their decisions.
  • Define and deliver customized solutions by assessing members’ priorities and developing service plans.
  • Conduct briefings, strategy sessions, workshops, research analyst visits, roundtables, and webinars, both virtually and onsite.
  • Collaborate with Gartner’s Sales organization to ensure strong member engagement and renewal.
  • Present or facilitate at local Executive Programs (ExP) events.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Global CIO, CIO, or senior technology executive is required.
  • 20+ years of progressive technology exposure, including AI, BI, ML, Digital Transformation, Big Data, and Cloud.
  • Experience leading or co-leading large-scale transformative initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital/technology leaders’ focus areas, IT operations, strategy, trends, and performance metrics.
  • Understanding of challenges faced by today’s digital/technology leaders and how Gartner ExP can provide advisory solutions.
  • Exposure to key business concepts such as revenue enablement, market improvement, risk reduction, and P&L management.
  • Experience with Project to Product initiatives that created new revenue streams.
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and emerging technologies.

  • Excellent relationship building, collaboration, and active listening skills.
  • Superior verbal, written, facilitation, and presentation skills (executive presence).
  • Demonstrable sales and/or business development experience with CXO-level executives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and challenge the status quo professionally.
  • Naturally collaborative and committed to making others successful.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $188,000 USD - $225,000 USD. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as education, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. Employees also participate in an annual bonus plan or uncapped sales incentive program, with additional benefits including generous PTO, 401k match up to $7,200 per year, and more.
