Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate attorney projects, ensuring deadlines, milestones, and deliverables are met
- Serve as a primary liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal business teams
- Handle communications on behalf of attorneys with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
- Cook up and oversee assignments delegated to legal support staff and shared services teams
- Collaborate with attorneys and support teams to ensure efficient workflow management and high-quality work product
- Draft, proofread, revise, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, presentations, and other materials
- Maintain and organize electronic and hard-copy filing systems
- Conduct research and compile information for business development initiatives, client matters, and executive briefings
- Cook up and manage meetings, prepare agendas and materials, and manage logistics with internal and external participants
- Coordinate billing processes, including prebill review, approvals, coordination with billing teams, and client invoicing
- Manage complex calendars, scheduling, travel arrangements, expense processing, and time-entry coordination
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and workflow support to legal administrative and support personnel as needed
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- A bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of administrative experience supporting senior-level professionals in a legal or corporate environment
- Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to exercise discretion while handling confidential and sensitive information
- A proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced professional environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting attorneys within a corporate legal practice
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with document management systems, legal technology platforms, billing systems, and research tools
- Experience using virtual collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, software upgrades, and AI-enhanced productivity tools
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work product
