Executive Housekeeper at the Ellie/DoubleTree Resort Myrtle Beach

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards set by the Hotel.
• Continuous visual inspection of guestrooms and public space areas including: restaurant, lounge, meeting rooms, lobby, halls, etc.
• Distribute and delegate workload to guarantee maximum productivity and guest satisfaction with minimum outlay of expenses in terms of labor and materials.
• Maintain house count and make staffing adjustments.
• Manage finances of housekeeping operations including budget and inventory controls.
• Analyze data and compile reports on expenditures, wages, labor, supplies, etc. in relation to hotel financial forecasts and budget.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction in assigning housekeeping and laundry staff in details of work.
• Provide staffing, training, counseling, and performance reviews for housekeeping department.
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
• Coincides inspection or inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary.
• Performs various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years in Housekeeping management position.

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members.
• Excellent time management skills.
