Overview
The D. E. Shaw group seeks a proactive and highly organized individual to provide exceptional administrative and operational support to senior executives.
What You'll Do Day-to-Day
- Manage complex schedules
- Cook up detail-sensitive meetings
- Organize travel logistics
- Serve as a liaison with internal groups and external partners
- Support key projects and operational needs
- Build expertise in the firm's workflows, tools, and expectations
- Work closely with EA team leadership and managers
Who We're Looking For
- At least seven years of relevant experience is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- We welcome applicants from a wide range of professional backgrounds; no prior finance experience is required.
- Experience in client services or other customer-focused roles is a meaningful plus.
- Prioritizing productivity software, including Slack, Confluence, SharePoint, and adopting Generative AI into workflows; proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook) is preferred.
- Keen attention to detail, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- The ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion is a must.
- Executive assistants at our firm are accustomed to taking ownership of their work product and excel at working independently and as part of a team.
Compensation and Benefits
- Expected annual base salary range: $125,000 to $145,000
