About the role

Provide executive administrative support to the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Comptroller, Command Operations Group, and NAVAIR Staff Office located at Patuxent River, MD. This position requires onsite support and involves high-level administrative duties, including conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing routine administrative functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings. May also train and supervise lower-level clerical staff.

Performs non-routine administrative and analytical tasks in one or more business support functions within the organization, including contracts, facilities planning, finance, logistics, property management, purchasing, and/or security. May perform tasks relative to the control of company and/or government property, facilities planning activities (e.g., coordinating storage and movement of furniture, systems, and equipment), and act as a facility security officer to ensure compliance with company, customer, and government security regulations. May maintain financial databases, analyze data, develop reports, and provide guidance to less-experienced administrative staff. Participates in special projects as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage company and/or government property assigned to the organization.
  • Coordinate facilities planning activities, including storage and movement of furniture, systems, and equipment.
  • Act as facility security officer to ensure compliance with security regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain financial databases, analyze data, and develop reports.
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced administrative staff.
  • Work independently on tasks and coordinate with others in support of group efforts.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Requirements

  • BS or BA Degree in Business, Management, or a relevant technical discipline. Allowable substitution: Equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience may substitute for the degree.
  • At least two (2) years of related administrative and analytical experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (pursuant to the Government Contract).
  • Active Secret security clearance required.

Pay

$36.06 to $38.46 hourly.
