Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of patrons, guests, and performers at events such as concerts, sporting events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Provide crowd control and hospitality security services at Pine Knob Music Theater, Michigan Lottery Amphitheater, and Meadow Brook Amphitheater.
- Follow venue-specific guidelines and maintain a professional brand with clients, guests, and coworkers.
- Conduct foot patrols and respond to emergency situations.

- Reliability: Report for shifts on time, presentable, and in prescribed uniform.
- Friendly Personality: Balance outstanding customer service with client policies and rule enforcement.
- De-escalation Techniques: Defuse situations through verbal judo and effective communication.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Must be at least 21 years old and hold a Michigan CPL or LEOSA card to perform armed security work.
- No felony convictions and no misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including marijuana), or two or more alcohol-related offenses.
- Ability to pass drug screening at hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana).
- Adherence to uniform and appearance policies with a friendly, positive, and professional image.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to de-escalate situations non-confrontationally; fluent in English.
- Valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving record (less than 3 moving violations and 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; no major violations).
- Physical and mental fitness to remain alert; ability to move quickly, run short distances, sit, stand, and walk long distances (including stairs) for 8–12 hour shifts; work indoors or outdoors in all seasons.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate keys and equipment; hear conversations in noisy environments; lift up to 50 pounds (70 lbs. for armed officers).
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Pay
$18.50/hour
Schedule
Evenings and weekends with limited day shifts available.
