Event Setup | On-Call Houseperson ($17.50/hour+)

About the role

The Event Setup Houseperson is responsible for setting up and breaking down all meeting spaces with tables/chairs/water, etc. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift moderate weight. This is a fast-paced position that requires attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions, while adapting and pivoting where needed to client requests and changes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down meeting spaces with tables/chairs/water, etc.
• Work closely with Event Planning and Event Services teams, and meeting planners and clients to bring event visions to life.
• Must have physical stamina to lift, push, and pull up to moderate weight.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work a flexible schedule of AM, PM, and overnight shifts, holidays, and weekends.

Requirements

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Ability to tolerate moderate amounts of walking.
• Previous experience in Event Setup and/or in Banquets is preferred.

Qualifications

Pay

The hourly rate offered for this position ranges from $17.50/hour to $18.03/hour. The starting rate for this position is $17.50/hour. This position earns additional compensation from event-based service charges, and may earn additional compensation from gratuities designated at the guest’s discretion.
