Event Setup | On Call Houseperson ($17.50/hour+)

About the role

Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Seattle's Eastside is seeking a friendly and reliable On Call Event Setup Houseperson to join our team. This role involves setting up and breaking down all meeting spaces with tables, chairs, water, and other necessary items. The position requires good communication skills and the ability to lift moderate weight in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down meeting spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and other event materials.
• Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling moderate weight.
• Stand, walk, and move for extended periods during shifts.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate weight.
• Ability to tolerate moderate amounts of walking and stand for long periods.
• Flexibility to work AM or PM shifts, holidays, and weekends.
• Previous experience in setup, preferably in banquets.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $17.50/hour. Additional compensation may be earned from gratuities and service charges.
