Unarmed Event Security Officer Job Summary We are seeking dependable and professional Unarmed Event Security Officers to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, employees, vendors, and event participants. Officers will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring event areas, controlling access points, assisting with crowd management, and responding appropriately to security and safety concerns. The ideal candidate is alert, professional, reliable, customer-service oriented, and able to remain calm and focused in busy event environments. Responsibilities Maintain a professional and highly visible security presence throughout assigned event areasMonitor entrances, exits, restricted areas, parking areas, and other designated locationsCheck credentials, tickets, passes, or identification as directed by the client or event managementPrevent unauthorized access to restricted or secured areasAssist with crowd control and maintain orderly movement of guests and attendeesMonitor guests and event activities for suspicious behavior, safety concerns, or policy violationsRespond promptly and professionally to disturbances, emergencies, and security-related incidentsReport suspicious activity, safety hazards, medical emergencies, and other incidents to supervisors or DispatchAssist with evacuation procedures and emergency response when requiredProvide directions and general assistance to guests while maintaining a professional customer-service approachMonitor event areas for hazards including blocked exits, spills, unsafe conditions, or other potential risksConduct regular patrols of assigned areas as directedMaintain accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, and other required documentationMaintain professional radio communication throughout the shiftFollow all post orders, client instructions, company policies, and event-specific proceduresCoordinate with event management, venue staff, emergency personnel, and other security officers when necessaryMaintain confidentiality and professionalism while representing the security company and clientRemain alert and attentive throughout the entire assignment Qualifications Previous security, event security, customer service, military, or law enforcement experience preferredUnarmed security experience preferred but not requiredStrong observation, communication, and interpersonal skillsProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to remain calm and professional in crowded or high-pressure situationsReliable, punctual, and dependableAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to work independently and as part of a security teamBasic smartphone and radio communication skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsMust be available to work weekendsMust be available for evening shiftsAbility to obtain and maintain any required security registration, license, or certification applicable to the assignment Schedule Part-timeSchedule varies based on event needsWeekend availability requiredEvening availability requiredAdditional shifts may be available based on event schedules and staffing needs Pay Rate $18.00 per hour Benefits Competitive payHealth benefitsFlexible event-based schedulingStable work environmentOpportunities for advancementOngoing training provided Apply today to join our security team and help provide a safe, secure, and professional environment for our clients, guests, and event participants through dependable unarmed event security services.
