About the role
The Event Security Officer at SNHU Arena is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, performers, vendors, and visitors during events and non-event operations. This position supports crowd management, monitors security systems, responds to incidents, and provides high-level customer service while ensuring all arena policies and safety procedures are followed.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival.
- Scan tickets and assist guests with entering the arena.
- Help guests locate their seats and provide general event and venue information.
- Verify tickets for entry into seating sections and restricted areas as needed.
- Absorb guests with disabilities by supporting accessible seating, entrances, and other accommodations as needed.
- Maintain assigned seating sections to ensure aisles and walkways remain clear and compliant with safety and fire code requirements.
- Proactively assist guests who may have questions, concerns, or need help during events.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and notify a supervisor if additional support is needed.
- Remain calm and assist with guest safety in the event of an emergency by following arena procedures.
- Help maintain the cleanliness of seating sections by picking up debris and checking for lost items.
- Support event operations before, during, and after events as needed.
- Follow all arena policies, procedures, and dress code guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience working in event venues, arenas, or guest services is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.
- Reliable and able to maintain consistent attendance.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
