Job Skills / Requirements

• Scope: Event Staff Security Officers provide crowd control services for events such as concerts, sporting events, trade shows, and conferences.
• Responsibilities: Ensure the safety of patrons, employees, and visitors at large and small scale events.
• Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, no felony convictions, pass a criminal background check, be available for minimum 4+ events per month, and have excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand or walk for 4-8 hour shifts, respond to emergency situations, work in or outdoors during all seasons, hear conversations in noisy environments, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Success as a Security Officer

• Reliability: Report for shifts on time, presentable, and in uniform.
• Friendly Personality: Balance expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.
• Following Company and Client Policies: Read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures, and ensure tasks are completed throughout the shift.
• Use of De-escalation Techniques: Defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.

Qualifications

• Age: At least 18 years old or older.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
