Job Skills / Requirements

• Event Staff Security Officers utilize outstanding customer service skills to provide crowd control services for events such as concerts, sporting events, trade shows, and conferences.
• Ensure the safety of patrons, guests, and performers.
• Follow venue specific guidelines for access control and foot patrol.
• Communicate effectively and de-escalate situations.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a Michigan CPL or LEOSA card for armed security positions.
• No felony convictions.
• No misdemeanor convictions related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances, or multiple alcohol-related offenses.
• Pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Adhere to company's Uniform and Appearance policy.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to de-escalate situations.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds (70 lbs. for armed security).
• Physically and mentally sound with the ability to remain alert while on duty.
• Able to work independently with little or no supervision.
