Job Summary
Direct/Manage/Supervise on-site and/or virtual marketing events such as customer seminars, full-scale conferences, virtual conferences, trade shows, webinars/webcasts, and other events.
Responsibilities
- Oversee event planning and logistics, ensuring the successful execution of event programs.
- Determine event budgets and conduct research to identify new event opportunities for the organization based on potential attendees, speaking opportunities, and other factors.
- Assess current software and tools and provide recommendations for features/enhancements for future consideration and implementation to achieve goals related to virtual events.
- Develop event marketing strategies and communication plans to ensure positive results and ensure strategy is consistent.
- Oversee the development of processes for repeatability and scalability of events.
- Oversee the negotiation of contracts with conference sites, hotels, and outside vendors.
- Review post event analysis, budget recaps, and feedback, and incorporate into future event plans.
- Coordinates and leads daily team activities. May spend a portion of time performing the work of those they supervise.
- Aids in management decisions and activities.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of team function within the organization.
- Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master's (or equivalency) degree.
- Experience managing and executing events in a higher education setting.
- Experience communicating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience using project management tools like Trello.
- Experience using Handshake.
