Event Manager

About the role

New Works Remodeling LLC is seeking a Shows & Events Manager to develop, manage, and lead an Event Department and team of demonstrators, promoting the company's home improvement brand at shows, events, fairs, and festivals in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

Responsibilities

• Find and book new shows and events for every weekend within the designated territory
• Generate leads that drive sales and profit from show and event booths
• Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and manage a team of Event Demonstrators
• Ensure promotional booths are set up beautifully at each event
• Plan, coordinate, and organize schedules and calendars for yourself, events, and the team
• Weekly maintain, track, and report department productivity, labor, inventory, and budget
• Set and ensure goals for each event, week, and month are achieved
• Maintain open, regular, and prompt communication with supervision and other departments

Requirements

• Team management and leadership experience
• Customer service or business‑to‑customer marketing experience
• Recruiting and hiring experience (regular focus of the role)
• Great interpersonal skills – comfortable talking with new people and customers
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (non‑commute work travel reimbursed)
• Ability to stand for extended hours while engaging customers at event booths
• At least basic computer literacy for administrative and reporting duties
• Willingness to work every weekend

Skills

• Promotional marketing experience at events (a big plus)

Pay

$18‑25 per hour, plus commission (averaging $15,000‑$40,000 annually)
