About the role
The HVAC Project Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing HVAC mechanical project opportunities including replacements, upgrades, retrofits, and design-build projects. The role involves meeting with customers to understand their needs, preparing accurate cost estimates, presenting professional proposals, and ensuring smooth project turnover.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close HVAC mechanical project opportunities including replacements, upgrades, retrofits, and design-build projects
- Meet with customers to understand expectations, survey facilities, and develop tailored HVAC solutions
- Prepare accurate cost estimates using Air Force One–provided tools
- Present professional proposals and close projects at or above approved gross margin targets
- Communicate capital improvement plans and long-term solutions to clients
- Partner closely with operations and internal teams to ensure smooth project turnover
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and complete sales records in the company CRM
- Submit reports, expenses, and correspondence in a timely manner
- Meet or exceed individual sales plan objectives
- Travel as required for client meetings, training, or company meetings
Requirements
- 5+ years of HVAC sales and/or HVAC technician experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of HVAC mechanical systems, components, and controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- CRM experience required (Connect preferred)
- AutoCAD experience a plus
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and background check
