Management$10/hrFull-time
What You'll Do
- Full-Lifecycle Estimating: Develop detailed conceptual, schematic, and construction-document estimates for vertical (concourse/terminal) and horizontal (runways/taxiways) projects.
- MEP & Systems Integration: Lead the cost-modeling for complex MEP overhauls, including the new Central Utility Plant (CUP) and advanced Baggage Handling Systems (BHS).
- Pre-Construction Leadership: Play a key role in Progressive Design-Build and CMAR negotiations, ensuring cost-certainty as designs evolve from $10\%$ to $100\%$.
- Market Analysis: Monitor regional labor trends and material escalation in the booming Central Texas market to build defensible, risk-adjusted bids.
- Mentor & Review: Provide quality control and guidance for junior estimators, ensuring "quantity take-offs" are precise and inclusive of FAA-mandated safety requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Experience: 7–10 years in heavy civil or commercial construction estimating. Aviation experience is highly preferred but large-scale "mega-project" experience (stadiums, hospitals, or transit) is a must.
- The Toolkit: Expert proficiency in Sage (Timberline), MC2, or Destini, plus a mastery of Bluebeam and Excel.
- BIM Fluency: Ability to perform 5D take-offs directly from Revit models.
- Regulatory Savvy: Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and the logistics of working in "active" sterile environments (airport security badging, phasing, and night-work premiums).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
- A CCP (Certified Cost Professional) or CPE certification will move you to the top of the list.
