Estimating Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full estimating lifecycle, from bid receipt through final handoff to production
  • Manage bid schedules and assign projects based on team workload, expertise, and project requirements
  • Monitor performance to ensure timely and accurate completion of material take-offs and estimates
  • Establish, communicate, and enforce standards for accuracy, quality, and turnaround times
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of estimating systems, pricing databases, and material references
  • Lead, coach, and develop estimating team members to achieve individual and organizational objectives
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Conduct performance management activities, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and customer satisfaction
  • Serve as a key liaison between estimating, sales, operations, and leadership teams
  • Communicate project status, priorities, and risks to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Provide guidance and support on complex, high-value, or strategic estimates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Estimating, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of estimating experience within construction, manufacturing, or a related industry
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint interpretation, material take-offs, and estimating methodologies
  • Proficiency with estimating software, including Bluebeam, Timberline, or similar platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across functions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience

Hourly Pay Range

$31-41 per hour dependent on experience*
