ESOP Attorney

About the role

Stevens & Lee is seeking a highly qualified attorney with at least seven years of experience to join its growing national ESOP practice. Ideal candidates will have experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and capital market transactions.

Preferred experience

• ESOP transactions: sales of equity to ESOPs and related transaction financing.
• M&A: acquisitions of stock or assets by ESOP‑owned companies and sales of ESOP‑owned businesses.
• ESOP compliance: ongoing compliance and advisory support.

Location preferences

Candidates located anywhere in the country are welcome. Preferred markets include Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California, New England, and North Carolina. Multi‑state licensure is a plus.

Requirements

• At least seven years of relevant legal experience.
• Active law license in the state of residence and in good standing.
• Multi‑state licensure is advantageous.

Pay
