About the role
We are transforming the residential real estate experience one closing at a time. Join our Midvale, UT branch of First American, where we recognize our true worth is our people. As an Escrow Officer, you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting focused on customer service and closing deals.
Responsibilities
- Determine requirements for real estate escrow transactions
- Act as a neutral liaison between file parties, adhering to company policy, and monitoring and mitigating risk to the company
- Ensure proper accounting and disbursement of funds in accordance with contract terms and company policy
- Prepare regular reports on escrow account status and provide these reports to the parties involved in the transaction
- Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents
- Prepare legal documents for the closure of the sale
- Complete closing by recording and filing documents, preparing, and distributing final closing statements and title
Requirements
- 2-4 years of escrow-related experience
- Experience directly handling escrow transactions as an escrow assistant preferred
- Openness to new technology and proprietary programs; adjusts easily to new workflow
- Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable using various types of communication to meet customer needs
- Problem solver with strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable in navigating internal and external resources to resolve issues
- Thrives in contributing to a team working together to deliver beyond customer expectations
- Knowledge of MS Office suite and ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and technologies
- Valid Licensing/Certification as required by applicable state
- High school diploma or equivalent

Pay
The pay range for this position is $26.21 - $34.95 hourly. Pay is based on a number of factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location.
