Escrow Officer

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain escrow process from beginning to end.
• Prepare Closing Disclosures and/or ATLA Settlement Statements.
• Review and thoroughly examine documents like survey’s, sale purchase contracts, preliminary title reports, and lenders instructions/loan documents.
• Order required file documents such as HOA Cert, Tax Cert, and Survey.
• Collaborate with title department to clear title defects by ordering appropriate releases as needed.
• Manage a large pipeline while meeting time frame requirements and maintaining continuous communication with builder coordinator, buyers, lenders, and realtors.
• Ensure accuracy in title/escrow company documents.
• Fluent with title industry terminology.
• Collect taxes, HOA’s, and associated delinquencies/principle and interest.
• Conduct face-to-face closings with buyers, realtors, and loan officers.
• Complete closing and funding process by obtaining funding number, copying closing package, disbursing funds via wire or check, and preparing lender packages.
• Filing recordable documents via e-recording and sending files for title policy preparation.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

• Knowledge of all escrow processes.
• Knowledge of and responsibility for preparing Closing Disclosures and/or ATLA Settlement Statements per client requirements and CFPB/TRID and RESPA guidelines.
• Thoroughly review documents including survey’s, sale purchase contracts, preliminary title reports, and lenders instructions/loan documents, legal descriptions, etc.
• Order required file documents such as HOA Cert, Tax Cert, and Survey.
• Collaborate with title department to clear title defects by ordering appropriate partial or full release of lien as needed.
• Manage a large pipeline while maintaining time frame requirements and continuous communication with builder coordinator, buyers, lenders, and realtors.
• Ensure accuracy in title/escrow company documents.
• Fluent with standard terminology commonly used in the title industry.
• Collect taxes, HOA’s, and associated delinquencies/principle and interest.
• Conduct face-to-face closings with buyers, realtors, and loan officers.
• Complete closing and funding process by obtaining funding number, copying closing package, disbursing funds via wire or check, and preparing lender packages.
• Filing recordable documents via e-recording and sending files for title policy preparation.

Your Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years’ experience as an Escrow Officer.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with high volume, builder experience required.
• Active Notary Public.
• Escrow License.
