About the role
The Safety professional will support ergonomics and safety programs within the Environment, Health & Safety department at the Raytheon Tucson, Arizona site.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve ergonomics programs to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company EH&S requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to develop and implement proactive strategies to prevent ergonomic injuries.
- Develop and deliver ergonomics related training and presentations to promote awareness and compliance.
- Serve as a resource for employee compliance questions/concerns and influence safe behaviors.
- Support and implement site injury reduction and ergonomic goals and initiatives.
- Support first aid and OSHA injury investigations and root cause analysis to identify corrective actions and track to completion.
- Interpret and apply OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, IFC, IBC and other applicable regulations and standards.
- Support and implement site injury reduction goals and initiatives.
- Analyze leading and lagging safety performance indicators for trends to drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate with individuals and teams across the business.
- Effectively organize, prioritize, and address multiple, simultaneous projects or tasks.
Qualifications
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Experience in EH&S.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with ergonomic evaluations in industrial and office settings.
- Experience with EJMS, CUSA or similar.
- Ability to obtain Associate Ergonomics Professional (AEP), Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), or equivalent certification within 2 years.
- Ability to manage technical data accurately and efficiently.
- Active Secret level or higher security clearance.
